The Mummy MOT Postnatal Check
The postnatal check you deserve, from a certified Mummy MOT practitioner.

The Mummy MOT is a comprehensive postnatal check suitable from 6 weeks post-partum.
The postnatal period can feel overwhelming as you adjust to life with your baby while your body is still recovering. This thorough assessment helps us understand how you're healing, so we can work together to help you feel strong, supported, and confident in your body again.
It's never too late for a Mummy MOT. Whether you had your baby recently or years ago, if something doesn't feel right, I'd love to help.
What's included
- Comprehensive one hour check covering all your concerns
- Posture, pelvis and functional screen
- Pelvic floor check
- Screen for diastasis rectus abdominus (tummy muscle gap)
- Check on scar healing
- A plan for returning to exercise safely
What to expect at your appointment
Your first visit is all about you. We'll spend 60 minutes together so there's plenty of time to really listen to your story, chat through your symptoms and medical history, and talk about what you're hoping to achieve.
If you feel comfortable, we’ll do a physical assessment. If required and with your full consent, this may include an external and internal pelvic floor assessment - you can stop at any time. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your body and a personalised plan we’ve built together.
No GP referral is needed, and you’re welcome to bring someone with you.
Common questions
When can I have a Mummy MOT?
The Mummy MOT is suitable from 6 weeks post-partum, whether you had a vaginal birth or a C-section. There's no upper time limit, so it's never too late to book.
Can I bring my baby to the appointment?
Absolutely. If your little one needs feeding, changing, or simply a cuddle during the session, that's perfectly fine. Please be aware that any time spent comforting or feeding your baby may eat into your appointment time.
